Hello crafty friends!
A quick post about the Color Throwdown I’m participating in this week (find details here!). There is still a bit of time to play this week as you can submit until tomorrow (Monday) 6:00pm Eastern time.
The color palette this week is absolutely gorgeous! I wish I had more time to play this week, but I will definitely be using these colours over and over.
Aren’t they great?! And it’s cookies which also makes me a happy camper.
The card I made is pretty simple, I used Kraft paper as the card base, a white panel stamped with Concord & 9th’s Hi There Bear set.
I used Color Theory pigment ink in glass slipper for the blue – it kinda went more aqua after I clear embossed. Oh well. It was the closest blue I had!
I double clear embossed the background, then used Hero Arts Shadow ink in soft brown for the bear image and sentiment, and cup o’ joe for the paw. Lastly I used Altenews Pure Graphite for the nose and eyes.
Next I took a piece of hemp twine, tied a little bow and looped it around the card. I added foam tape to the back and attached the white panel to a light blue mat, then to the Kraft card base.
This weeks challenge was super fun. Play along with us! New challenges start every Wednesday!
